Happy Valentines Day, kid-art-lovers!
We made some heart snowflakes yesterday. I was trying to come up with some awesome heart sticker painting project, but it was just mediocre. So we broke out the scissors and paper and went to town exploring heart shapes in snowflakes. It’s technically still winter, after all.
Here they are. Some we folded 3 times, and some only twice; you can tell by the folds in the ‘after’ pictures.:
Hope your days are full of love, smooches, hugs, head rubs, love songs and, obviously, chocolate.
Hey, fellow creative kid-lovers. Why don't you join me on Facebook?

Heart snowflakes for the win!!! I did a card project their other day with my kiddos with cutout hearts and they called them snowflake hearts!

The win!? Well, now I feel like a superstar! Are you one of those awesome moms who makes all of the kids’ valentines cards with them?

Ha! Far from being a mom, just an avid crafter that really enjoys teaching little kids.
Oh, I forgot you were a young’un! Sometimes I feel like everyone I communicate with is a mom blogger, but you were talking about the OTHER types of kids. The ones whose diapers you don’t have to change…..
What a great idea and so simple! These would make great last minute Valentines!

I sort of wish we had made these ahead of time to give to everyone in Fen’s class. But there’s something about those store-bought cards she loooooves. Must be the cool holograms that we can’t replicate in an art project.

I love your ideas. They came out so beautifully and look reasonably easy to execute. Thanks for providing the template to cut them out because I would never be able to figure that out on my own.

It’s fun just to fold up the paper and cut out a bunch of half-hearts and see if they unfold into anything. Very unplanned!
